About Springbrook Organic Dairy Products

You know, I wonder if we should repeat/add this information on the "Our Products" page (so the whole section would read):

Springbrook Organic Dairy products are bottled in our farmstead dairy using only the milk produced from our grass-fed Jersey cows. Our non-homogenized (or cream-line) organically certified whole milk is currently being sold in ½ gallon glass bottles at local Wisconsin retailers and restaurants within a 100-mile radius of Springbrook farm (see "Where to Buy" page).

Jerseys produce the highest quality milk available. Compared to an average milk from other breeds, a glass of all-Jersey milk has greater nutritional value: 15% to 20% more protein, 15% to 18% more calcium, and 10% to 12% more phosphorous, along with considerably higher levels of an essential vitamin, B12. The pasture grasses that make of our Jersey herd’s diet also provide higher levels of carotene in our Jersey milk, along with higher levels of Omega 3 fatty acids and “conjugated linoleic acid,” or CLA, not to mention vitamins A, D, E and K.

But what really sets Springbrook Organic Jersey milk apart from others is its rich full flavor. That’s because Jersey milk is higher in butter fat, and tastes ever so slightly sweeter than milk from other breeds of cows. It’s wonderful cold with chocolate chip cookies, in sauces and cream-based soups, and desserts. Try making your own butter with Springbrook Jersey milk—it’s truly a culinary treasure!
